Session 1 – Santa Fe, February 21-23, 2019

The Local Government Leadership Program Class of 2019’s first session was held in Santa Fe. The class kicked off their first session with personal leadership training and skill building exercises with Phil Bryson, On the Edge Productions, followed by dinner and a reception at Gerald Peters Gallery. The next day, the class heard from expert speakers and then toured the National Guard Aviation Facility. In the evening, the class toured and attended a reception at the Governor’s Mansion. During the session, the class learned about New Mexico’s history and culture, budget and capital outlay issues, the tax system, economic development, K-12 and higher education, healthcare reform, and behavioral health.
