The Distinguished Leadership Award was also established to recognize an individual or individuals who has used his or her
leadership abilities to improve the quality of life for New Mexico citizens and future generations.

Celebration Dinner recipients will be recognized during the Annual Awards Dinner on Friday, October 14, 2022

The Distinguished Leadership Award
• Recognizes and promotes community involvement and provides incentives for the continued application of leadership skills
• Recognizes an individual who has used his or her leadership skills, knowledge, and resources to benefit the New Mexico community
• Serves as an example of leadership to others
• Elevates awareness of the benefits dynamic leadership brings to the community and state

Eligibility and Criteria
Only Leadership New Mexico Alumni may nominate someone to receive this award. Nominees should be a New Mexico resident, other than a Leadership New Mexico graduate, who has demonstrated exceptional leadership that has significantly impacted the economy and quality of life at the local or state level in New Mexico. The recipient must have demonstrated dynamic leadership skills in multiple settings and achieved extraordinary success in the goals he or she has set out to accomplish.
